Congress made Kashmir problem complex through communal considerations: BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 14: BJP Legislature Party leader Chaman Lal Gupta while interacting with the party activists and senior citizens from Pak-held areas of Jammu and Kashmir has said that double speak on Kashmir is spreading confusion and resentment among the masses. Nobody is allowed to speak a word questioning Kashmir-Pak relations, not to say of anything about the presence of Army in Pak-held areas but in Jammu and Kashmir as also else where there is free for all including the separatists, semi-separatists and above all even for those who are holding constitutional posts under oath to protect the integrity and solidarity of India. Chaman Lal visited some of the colonies of Jammu West Assembly constituency to take stock of the problems of the colonies where mostly the displaced persons from Pak-held areas have been lodged. The elderly persons from Mirpur, Bhimber, Kotli and other places of Pak-held areas told Gupta that how they were compelled to leave their homes and hearth and now there are reports that in these areas the occupying forces have not only changed completely the demographic character there but most of the places are dotted with huge structures including Mangla Dam for the benefit of Pakistan. In addition to this the most of the places have been converted into cantonments and military bases, they alleged. Responding to their complaints, Gupta said quite contrary to Pakistan-POK, in Jammu and Kashmir a strange situation has been created that even the Chief Minister after the oath of the Constitution is talking that this State is a dispute and its Accession to Indian Union was conditional. And more than this that the Congress Ministers at the Centre did not find any thing objectionable in such utterances. Gupta regretted that Congress leadership had not only created the so-called Kashmir problem but during all these years under communal and other considerations has made it complex one but most sad aspect of this situation was that the Congress has not learnt any lesson from the past and still they are fiddling with the situation which may lead to more and more problems.
