Army School, Nagbani, DBN win ties
Police Youth Promotional Cricket Cup

JAMMU, November 14: Army School, MHAC Nagbani and DBN among five schools won their respective matches to advance into next round of Police Youth Promotional Cricket Cup underway at University of Jammu (JU) grounds, here today.
In today’s matches, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of J&K Police, Danish Rana was special guest, who interacted with the participating teams and also witnessed the game.

Army School bt Gandhi Memorial: Army School defeated Gandhi Memorial School by 19 runs. Batting first, after winning the toss, Army School set a target of 94 runs losing all their wickets in 12 overs. Harshdeep (21), Abhishek (21) and Abhimanyu (14) were main scorers. From Gandhi Memorial, Narotam took three wickets, followed by Hardeep one. Batting second, Gandhi Nagar bowled out for 74 runs in 10.3 overs. Narottam and Neeraj were main scorers with 15 and 13 runs respectively. From Army School, Manik and Vishwajeet shared two wickets each.

MHAC Nagbani bt St. Peters: MHAC Nagbani School defeated St. Peters’ School by a big margin of 40 runs. Batting first, Nagbani made 114 runs for one in allotted 12 overs. Shivam was top scorer with 55 runs, followed by Nikhil who made 38. Later, chasing the target, St. Peters could make 74 runs for seven in stipulated 12 overs. Kamal and Ajay were main scorers with 26 and 15 runs respectively. From Nikhil claimed two wickets and Shivam bagged one.

Tiny Tots bt GD Goenka: Tiny Tots School trounced GD Goenka by 9 wickets. Batting first, GD Goenka bowled out for just 32 runs, which, in reply, Tiny Tots chased in mere 4.2 overs losing only wicket. Ramneet was top scorer with 13 runs.

DBN bt Police Public School: DBN School registered a 43 runs win over Police Public School. Batting first, DBN scored 111 runs for the loss of three wickets in given 12 overs. Lakhan and Sumesh contributed maximum 47 and 24 runs respectively. Later, Police Public School could not chase the total and lost all their wickets for 68 runs with Abhishek (12) being main scorer. From DBN, Vishu and Shubam took two wickets each.

DPS bt JK Public by 6 wkts: Delhi Public School defeated JK Public School by six wickets. Batting first JK Public made 58 runs for 9 in 12 overs. Vikrant (24) andYasif (12) were top scorers. From DPS, Ankush claimed four wickets, followed by Mavel, who bagged two. In reply, DPS chased the target of 59 runs for the loss of four wickets in 10 overs. Snahel played fine innings of 32 runs. Yasif took two wickets from JK Public School.
