Tiny Tots, Model Academy win in youth promotion cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 15: Tiny Tots and Devan Badri Nath (DBN) School won their respective matches to strengthen their position in the ongoing Youth Promotion Cricket Cup, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Police at University of Jammu grounds, here today. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Alok Puri was special guest in today’s matches. He was introduced with the teams of Tiny Tots School and KC Public School and also witnessed game. Army School bt Nagbani by 23 runs: Army School registered 23 runs win over MHAC Nagbani School. Batting first, Army School made 87 runs in 10 overs. Harsheep was main scorer with 31 runs while Abhimanyu contributed 18. From Nagbani School, Nikhal, Hitesh and Hussain shared apiece each. Later, chasing the target, Nagbani bowled out for 64 runs. Hitesh and Shrun contributed 20 and 18 runs respectively. From Army School, Manik and Harshdeep took two wickets.
Big 54-run win for Model Academy: Model Academy defeated KC International School by a big margin of 54 runs. Earlier, Model Academy won the toss and batting first set a target of 92 runs for the loss of three wickets in allotted 20 overs. Zahid was top scorer with 25 runs while Javed and Navel contributed 20 each. From KC International, Aditya and Vansh took one wicket each. Later, KC International bowled out for a small total of 37 runs.
KC Public wins by 9 wkts: KC Public made it a one-sided contest outplaying Tiny Tots School by nine wickets. Batting first, Tiny Tots made 52 runs for nine in 10 overs. Sheetal was main scorer with 11 runs. From KC Public, Hisham Saleem claimed five wickets while Aman bagged two. In reply, KC Public overhauled the opponent total in just seven overs that too with nine wickets intact. Shubam played superb innings of 34 runs, followed by Hisham, who added 14 runs to the total.
30-run win for Model Academy: In their second league tie of the day, Model Academy defeated 4th Police Martyrs Club by a margin of 30 runs. Batting first, Model Academy set a target of 103 runs for five in 10 overs, which in reply, Police Martyrs Club could not chase the bowled out for 72 runs.
Close win for DBN: Dewan Badri Nath (DBN) School won their tie against Delhi Public School (DPS) beating latter by two runs. Needing 70 runs to win, DPS bowled out for 67 runs playing full 10 overs. Shouraya played maginificent innings of 40 runs but could not lead his side to win.
