| Khajuria inspects developmental works in Jammu east | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 15: Bharatiya Janta Party MLA from Jammu East assembly constituency Ashok Khajuria today inspected the development work undertaken in Jammu Lochan chowk area near Civil Secretariat in presence of senior officials of UEED and party leaders.
He also inspected the work of widening and covering of a nallah from this chowk to New Block of SMGS Hospital. An amount of Rs. 12 lakh has been spent by the UEED on first phase of this project and soon rest of the work will be taken-up in the coming days.
On this occasion, Ashok Khajuria said that he was continously receiving complaints regarding chocking and over-flowing of this nallah of sewerage water flowing from entire Parade, Kachi Chawni, Ranbir Higher Secondary School. The nallah was too narrow for the smooth and unhindered flow of the sewerage water. He said that with the completion of this work, there will be a permanent solution to the problem and it will also result into widening of the ever busy and over loaded road from Jammu Lochan chowk to Shalimar Chowk.
He impressed upon his party colleagues present to keep him abreast of all the needs and difficulties faced by the residents of the Jammu East constituency so that he is able to attend to the same.
Prominent among those who were present on this occasion UEED senior officials including Executive Engineer Nissar Khan, AEE Tak, Junior
Engineers Ravinder Koul and Vikram Koul, Contractor Raju Sharma, BJP leaders Yudhvir , Vinod Malhotra and Raju Pahalwan and besides others.
