| Scholarship to PG education college students still pending | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 15: The Social Welfare department and the Government PG College, Canal road authorities were allegedly behaving recklessly to provide scholarships to the category students.
One of the glaring examples is the careless handling of the scholarship forms that the category students have applied during their admission in the Government PG College, Canal road.
As many as 25 students, including 23 SCs and 2 OBCs accused that they filled up the
scholarship forms during their admission in the college but no process have been made by the authorities to provide them any of the fee concession till date.
The students alleged that when they contacted the Social Welfare Department, the concerned officials directed them to visit their principal for the answer but visiting the principal too turned futile .
Approaching the department, the students were told that the college authorities were telling a lie as they do not have any receipt referring the registration of any of the forms.
When principal of the college M L Parwana contacted, he said that they had forwarded all the scholarship forms which the students submit and also have the receipts of all the forms. He further blamed the boys and said that these boys every year do this to defame the college administration. That is why the social welfare department does not help them.
