JAMMU, Nov 15: It has been four years now and the home guards continue their protest in front of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office and the government has totally turned deaf ear to their demands
The Home Guards, who helps in maintaining law and order, are the victims of callous and step-motherly treatment of the government . They continue to be only Rs 4101 per month as compared to other states like Punjab Haryana and others who are getting more them Rs 10,000.
``We are now left with no other options except to opt for an self immolations,’’ said one of the protesting home guard.
The home guards cadre even today invited all party MLAs and officer bearers of all political parties of J&K at dharna site to express their views and suggestions to redress their sufferings.
