| Bhalla inaugurates tube well at Trikuta Nagar | | | JAMMU, NOVEMBER 03- MLA Gandhi Nagar Mr. Raman Bhalla today inaugurated a tube well at Sector No. 2, Trikuta Nagar.
Jammu Municipal Corporation Corporators Mr. Kulbushan Sharma, Mr. Satish Sharma, Mrs. Santosh Magotra, S Jaswant Singh Sudan and other senior officers of PHE and ERA were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bhalla said that the coalition government is making concerted efforts to provide basic amenities to the people of all the three regions of the state. He reminded the people that government is committed to eradicate corruption from the doorsteps and seeks their cooperation for the same. The executing officers present at the site were directed to speed up the work in order to complete it within a targeted period of time and ensure quality of construction material is maintained.
While taking stock of the development works under each sector, Mr. Bhalla stressed upon the concerned engineers and officers to complete these within stipulated time for the benefit of general masses. He asked the engineers of PHE departments to activate their respective field functionaries so that the people get adequate water supply without any interruption in their areas. He informed the people that the present government has sanctioned 25 tube wells in Gandhi Nagar constituency involving over Rs. 200 crore. The tube well would be constructed by Economic Reconstruction Agency.
He said that on the construction of Tube well at Trikuta Nagar about 15000 souls of the area would be benefited. He said that on the inauguration of tube well an old demand of the people has been fulfilled.
Mr Bhalla said that in Gandhi Nagar constituency many micro and macro projects have been taken up and most of them have been completed while the remaining would be completed soon with the cooperation of local population.
