| Grenade remains unexploded, tragedy averted | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 15: A possible tragedy was today averted after a grenade thrown by militants in the busy Bharath town of Doda remained enexploded.
Police sources said militants threw a grenade in the busy Bharath town in the afternoon. It, however, did not explode, the sources added.Soon thereafter, police reached the spot and defused the grenade with the help of a bomb disposal squad.Searches were also carried out in the area, but there was no report of any suspect having been taken into custody by police.Had the grenade exploded, it could have caused extensive damage to life and property of the people, the sources added.
