| Pinto Club wins district volleyball tourney | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, November 16: Pinto Club today clinched the District Poonch Volleyball Championship beating equally good opponent in Chandak Club 3-2 in the final played at Sports Stadium, here.
Leveled at 2-2, Pinto Club displayed some power packed smashes to turn the well contested final in their favour winning the decider 15-13. The score: 20-25, 25-16, 17-25, 28-26, 15-13.
In all, eight teams took part in this three-day long knock-out event which was organised by District Volleyball Association in collaboration with District Coaching Centre.
In the final and prize distribution function, Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Mohd Matloob Khan was chief guest, gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes. Additional Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas was guest of honour.
