| Jan completes 3-day tour of Poonch villages | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Nov 16: MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan completed three day tour of border areas in Poonch starting from banwat gundi and ending at kankote via margaii mar top Qasba.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that Ajaz Jan covered areas which included banwat gundi, banwat dhokri, margaii mar top, Kerni, Qasba, Bandi Chechian and Kankote. Jan has said that the tour was organised on the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for increasing accessibility of the legislators in their respective areas.
During his tour, demand for availability of drinking water was effectively raised by the locals. Jan immediately responded by sanctioning 5 water storage tanks. He lauded role of army for maintaining peace and communal harmony and helping people through its Sadhbhavana schemes. During his tour, Jan allotted around 30 works from his CDF. BDO Poonch was directed to ensure people’s participation in plan formation and its implementation in later stages.
