PDD daily wagers regret silence of J&K govt | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Nov 16: All Jammu and Kashmir PDD Daily Wagers Union has regretted continued silence of state government over the demands being raised by them. In a statement issued here today, it has been stated that the PDD daily wagers continued their protest demonstration on the second day of their 72 hour long protest programme outside the office of electrical maintenance division (EMD) Kathua. Union leaders raised slogans against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for non-fulfillment of promise made with them on January 27, 2010 regarding resolving of pending issues of daily wagers. Union urged Chief Minister for resolving their pending issues which includes demand for regularization of daily wagers working since 1994 in PDD along with release of pending wages of daily wagers and need based workers. Those who were present on the occasion included Ram Krishan, Sushil Kumar, Rajnikant, Radha Shyam, Ashok Kumar, Nirmal Singh, Vinay Kumar, Mangal Singh, Partap Singh, Ranbir Singh and Bhupinder Singh.
