JMC clears 42 building permission cases | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 16: Building operation controlling authority (BOCA) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) cleared 42 building permission cases here today. Representatives of PDD, PHE, Town Planning besides Joint Commissioner and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation attended the meeting. Building permissions cases cleared by JMC generated revenue of Rs. 10 Lakh. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of commissioner JMC S.C. Sawhney. Besides this, Health Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation along with team of food inspectors further intensified drive to check quality of food items being sold in the city especially during forthcoming festival of Eid-ul-Azha and inspected about 120 food establishments selling different types of eatables in the areas of Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Prem Nagar, Gujjar Nagar, Narwal, Satwari, Nai Basti and Ashok Nagar. During the inspection, 24 defaulters were booked and about 100 kilograms of stale cooked food, sweets & meat being sold in unhygienic conditions was destroyed on spot. An amount of Rs. 5600 was charged as fine from the defaulters on spot. In another move, enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer (CEO) Satish Khajuria alongwith police force continued anti-encroachment drive to clear footpaths/pavements in the areas of University Road, Bikram Chowk and last Morh Gandhi Nagar.
