| Restrictions on processions | | |
JAMMU: District Magistrate Jammu, Hirdesh Kumar Singh in exercise of the powers vested in him under section 144 Cr. P. C has ordered that no procession shall be taken out by any individual or group of individuals and no provocative slogans shall be raised by anyone in the areas on routes from Bajaj tower to Amar filling station, on flyover from police control room to District Institute of Education and Training behind New Secretariat Jammu, on flyover from Subash Chowk (Maheshpura Chowk) to District Institute of Education and Training, Rotary behind New Secretariat to New Secretariat and areas falling in the radius of 200 mtrs from the outer gates of Raj Bhawan (periphery) at Jammu viz Karan Nagar, Ambphalla, Ustad Mohalla, Panjtirthi, Manda etc. However, this order shall not apply to marriage and funeral processions. This order shall come into force for a period of two month from November 3, 2006. |
