| PDD daily wagers hold protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 16: The Power Development Department (PDD) daily wagers today continued their protest on second consecutive day in support of their demand of regularization onto their services.
The protesting PDD daily wagers under the banner of All J&K Daily Wagers Association staged protest demonstration in support of their demands. They were raising slogans against the State Govt for not fulfilling their demands.
Later, hundreds of PDD daily wagers staged protest rally but they were stopped by the police deployed there.
The leaders of PDD daily wagers appealed to the PDD daily wagers to completely halt the work by observing complete tool down strike to pressurize the State Govt and concerned department to concede their demands.
aThe protesting employees alleged that indifferent attitude of the Govt towards their demands demoralized the daily wagers, who had been working round the clock in maintaining power supply in Jammu and Kashmir. The employees said that after Eid they will intensify their protest in support of their demand of regularization.
