1st Step Tutorial celebrates Eid | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 17: The 1st step Tutorial organised a function in connection with the celebration of Eid today. BL Kapoor, the state chairman J&K Human Rights Watch was the chief guest who delivered a speech showing the secularism and unity and said that the Eid festival is common to all communities and all communities exchange greetings to each other. On the occasion ,the director of the tutorial, Viney Gupta, also addressed the gathering and said that the basic aim of this tutorial is to educate the children about secularism, unity and knowledge about right and wrong . On the occasion, the prizes were distributed to the brilliant students who scored highest marks in the board examinations especially to the regular students of this tutorial. The prize winners under different categories include Marvi Sharma (Class 9th), Sumit Gupta (Class 10th) and Pooja Magotra (Class 10th) stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in Junior Scientist award section. In I.Q Level Test Taniya Khajuria (Class 10th) got 1st prize while Mirnalini (Class 11th) bagged 2nd prize. The Junior Mathematician award was clinched by Mirnalini (11th), who claimed 1st prize and Mohinder Sharma (11th) who received 2nd prize. Iram Bhatt (Class 8th) was adjudged Best performer in Independence Day function. Rupali Sharma (Class 8th), Marvi Sharma (Class 9th) Taniya Khajuria (Class 10th), Rahul Verma (Commerce Class 11th) Irfana Chowdary (Arts Class 12th) were the students who have been adjudged class wise best student. Abhimanyu Singh Baloria (Class 8th), Arti Devi (Class 10th) were awarded for their outstanding results in 2010 board examinations while Taniya Khajuria (Class 8th) and Neha Salaria (Class 10th ) received prizes for their good show in board examinations in the year 2009.
