PCC general secretary visits Rajouri, conducts public meet

Sunderbani, Nov 17: Ravinder Sharma (MLC), general secretary & spokesperson PCC conducted two days tour of various villages of Nowshera-Sunderbani area of district Rajouri and took stock of the problems of the people.
Sharma held a meeting with local representatives and party workers at Sunderbani, wherein he was apprised of the problems of various parts of tehsil Sunderbani. He was apprised that the required quota of APL ration is not being provided to the tehsil which causes great hardships to the people.
The farmers have already suffered due to damage to the crops and non-availability of ration has added to the woes. They also urged for providing of relief to the farmers.The Deptt. of Agriculture should also devise a mechanism of ascertaining the requirement of seed and fertilizer in advance and make them available well in time to avoid inconvenience and loss to the farmers.
The public representatives including ex-sarpanches and other prominent persons urged the government to fulfill the promise of sanctioning of a degree college at Sunderbani which is their most genuine demand keeping in the large strength of feeding Higher Secondary Schools and distance from district and state HQ as well as other colleges. They expressed resentment over the delay in this regard.
The public also expressed concern over the alleged favoritism and unfair mode of selection of beneficiaries in providing financial assistance to the BPL families by rural development department and demanded an enquiry into the matter.
Sharma also visited remote villages Panori, Jawa and Kalal and listened to the problems of people. He was put forth the demand for early construction of the link road from Jawa to Panori and Seri to Kheri via Dal. He also inspected the staff position and the infrastructure of schools in the area. Sharma asked the education authorities to depute some teachers having basic knowledge of computers in order to make use of the computers supplied by army authorities under Sadhbavna to various schools in border area of Nowshera Tehsil
