| Haji Rasheed inspects Govt Arts Emporium, Chandigarh | | Impress upon staff to achieve the target of one crore. | | Jammu | Nov 3 Chairman, Handicrafts Development Corportion, Haji Abdul Rasheed today visited JK Govt Arts Emporium, Chandigarh and took stock of the working of the emporium. While interacting with the staff posted at the emporium, the chairman impressed upon them to work with full dedication, so that the target of one crore, fixed for the year, is achieved in full. He announced that if the center surpass the sales target, will be awarded with financial incentives. The chairman said that Rs.22 lacs have been spent on the renovation of the emporium and assured that it would be made hi-tech in order to meet the present market competitions. Haji Rasheed said that the Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad is keen to boost the Kashmiri handicrafts industries, as the livelihood of a large portion of the population is associated with this trade. He said that a handicraft exhibition would be organized during January 2007 in order to provide better marketing facilities to the Kashmiri artisans outside the state. |
