| 75 acres covered under horti mission scheme in Prete village | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, NOV 17-The Horticulture department has covered an area of 75 acres under Fruit plantation in Horticulture Mission scheme and three clusters have been created comprising of fifty six beneficiaries in Preta village of Basholi .
MLA Basholi Jagdish Sapolia today distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 5.50 lakhs at village Preta among these beneficiaries for establishing orchards in their field under the technical guidance of the department. He impressed upon the beneficiaries to participate in other component of the scheme to boost their socio economic condition.
The Chief Horticulture Officer, Kathua, A. K. Sharma also called upon them to protect their saplings from frost in coming days by adopting modern techniques. The beneficiaries covered under District plan scheme of Basholi block were also given assistance through cheques for raising orchards on small holdings.
The Horticulture Development Officer, Basholi Rajesh presented vote of thanks .
