EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November 18: Punjab Frontier maintained the lead with eight gold in their tally on the third day of the ongoing Inter-Frontier Athletics Meet of Border Security Force at BSF Stadium, Paloura, here today. Already won five gold in first two days of the competition, Punjab Frontier athletes added three more gold medals to the tally today to maintain the top position. Out of the seven events decided today, Punjab Frontier won three. The strong contingent of Punjab clinched first position in 4x100 meters relay, followed by 200 meters race and Hammer Throw. The host Jammu Frontier could not win any gold medal today while North Bengal, South Bengal and Rajasthan won excelled in other events. However, Jammu athletes won two silver and an equal number of bronze medals. Meanwhile, according to the organisers, the finals of remaining events shall take place tomorrow, followed by the valedictory function at 3.30 pm at the same venue.
