BJP gearing up for state-wide agitation from Nov 20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 18:BJP will launch state-wide agitation against the utterances of the State Chief Minister on the issue of accession as also the continuation of discrimination with Jammu. The programme in this regard will be announced on November 20 in a massive rally of the party workers in presence of national leaders at Jammu. This was disclosed by party State President Shamsher Singh Manhas while addressing meetings of party activists in Dayala Chak and Kathua on Thursday. Shamsher Singh Manhas apprised the party workers about the impending challenges that are going to confront the state and the nation. Manhas also highlighted the continuous and unceasing discrimination being meted out to all the nationalist forces and the Jammu region. ‘Inspite of the proclamations and assertions of the State Chief Minister and his colleagues of NC and Congress, discrimination, especially with the Jammu region continuous in all spheres’, he added. Manhas announced that BJP is going to launch an agitation against the utterances of the Chief Minister on the issue of accession of the state and against the discrimination with the Jammu region. ‘We shall not rest till the Chief Minister comes out with a categorical declaration that the J&K state is integral part of the nation and discrimination with Jammu is stopped. In this connection, he said that an agitational programme be announced on November 20’, he informed. Ranjit Singh, MLA Durga Dass, Rajiv Jasrotia, Chaggar Singh, Prof Sain Dass, Kirat Singh, Dr. Narinder Singh Jasrotia and Naveen Padha also addressed these meetings.
