| Sekloo to Saloonia mandi road opened | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch, Nov 18: MLA Ajaz Jan today inaugurated Sekloo to Saloonia road, Mandi. The road was thrown open for public use thereby conceding a long pending demand of the residents of twin villages at Sekloo to Saloonia. The connectivity between the two largest villages of Mandi Block has come as a bigger respite for the residents who had all the praises for the Legislator for speedy completion of project in a record time. The road has been constructed by public works department at a cost of Rs 2.96 cr. Under NABARD. MLA during his address had all the appreciations for Xen Kar, AEE Rafiq Sheikh, J.E Afzal for the quality work of road
He also inspected the ongoing works under MNREGA and constituency development funds of MLA and listened to the public deputations on spot. Directions were issued to Block Development Officer, Mandi.Deepak Dubay for executing and implementing MNREGA in its true spirit. He also issued directions for convergence of CD funds and MNREGA so that durable assets could be generated without disturbing the 60:40 ratio under MNREGA. He directed the officers/officials of other departments to work on project approach in convergence with MNREGA which is undoubtedly the life line of people in J & K where there is no other scope for employment for worker. The public meeting among others was by attended Xen PWD R&B,Block Medical Officer Mandi Dr. Malik, Block Development Officer Poonch Deepak Dubay, AEE PWD. Rafiq Sheikh, J.E Afzal,Bishrat Kholi, Anayat Bukhari District Secretary National Conference, Block Presidents.Abdul Ahad Bhatt, Gulam Nabi Lone, Gulam Abbas, Harcharan Singh Khalsa.
