Volleyball: Despite 4 wins J&K fails to qualify | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November 18: Despite four wins out of six matches they played in the league round of group-A, Jammu and Kashmir could not qualify for the knock-out stages of the ongoing Sub-Junior National Volleyball Championship at Bangalore in Karnataka. However, host Karnataka topped the group. The second team shall be decided tomorrow when Assam meets West Bengal. “The J&K’s last hope of qualifying for the knock-out stages depends on the outcome of Assam and West Bengal tie slated to be played tomorrow. In case, Assam won, J&K can qualify on average basis. Otherwise, West Bengal have every chance to reach the knock-out round,” general secretary of the Association, Kuldeep Magotra told SAN. Earlier, in the remaining two matches, played today, J&K lost to West Bengal 0-3 (23-25, 19-25, 12-25) and later defeated Chattisgarh in straight sets 25-21, 25-23, 25-11
