Govt moots to construct fly over at Marble market: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 18: Government is planning to construct a double-lane flyover from Marble market to Greater Kailash for which Rs 9 crore project has been submitted to R&B Ministry for funding. Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla said this after inaugurating lane and drain at Trikuta Nagar, Sector-4 Extension, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh. Bhalla said that coalition Government is making all out efforts to provide all civic amenities to the all sections of society at their doorsteps. He said that a proposal for inclusion of left out colonies of his constituency into Municipal Corporation is under active consideration with Housing and Urban Ministry adding that after approval, the areas including Apna Vihar, Sunjwan, Bathindi, Bandhu Rakh besides remaining area of Sainik colony would come under Municipal Corporation. Minister said that Government has earmarked Rs 1 crore for construction of Rotary near Nidheesh Apartments in Trikuta Nagar on modern lines adding that after completing the tender formalities, the construction work could be started. For facilitating the people of Gandhi Nagar, the Minister said that a 2 crore CT scan machine besides Rs 55 lakh sick warm unit has been installed in Government Gandhi Nagar hospital. The Minister was apprised that finishing touch on 140 quarters at Vessu is being given and will be handed over to the candidates by December this year. He was informed that the plinth work of 97 more quarters would be completed by next year. He said that a separate block have been identified for accommodating female candidates in the venues. He said that the candidates selected in Baramulla and Kupwara district would be given accommodation at Baramulla in the first phase and in the second phase the quarters will be constructed at Kupwara. For Srinagar and Budgam district, the quarters are being constructed at Sheikhpora. Bhalla said that 3000 flats, out of the total 4218 for Kashmiri migrants being constructed at a cost of Rs 294 crore at Jagti in Nagrota township, will be ready by December 2010 and the allotments would be made to the displaced families of Kashmir valley by 2011.
