| Introduce ‘Shatabdi Morning’ train between Jammu-Delhi : YV Sharma | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 18:President Chamber of Commerce and Industry YV Sharma has written to the Union Minister for Railways urging that around one crore pilgrims are visiting holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi every year in J&K. With such a large inflow of the pilgrims, state’s economy gets a boost as about Rs 1000 crore are pumped in by religious pilgrimage.
We have received number of representations from Hotel, Tourism and other allied industries that ‘Shatabdi Morning’ service Delhi to Jammu and vice versa should be introduced to facilitate pilgrimage and regular traffic to Jammu.
We are stressing for the morning train as it is chair car and it accommodates more passengers as compared to regular sleeper trains.
We are quite optimistic that this will open new opportunities for the people of J&K by increasing the business opportunities manifold so we request your goodself to oblige the people of J&K by starting this service at the earliest, maintained Camber president
