Jammu November 18: Youth is the future of the nation Chib stated Minister for Medical Education, Youth Service and Sports,. R.S. Chib Chib during 12-day National Integration Camp being organized by the State unit of NCC at Nagrota near here today wherein Cadets of 17 States are participating.
He said that they should contribute their bit for the welfare of the nation and maintain discipline in their life and learn to serve the country
He lauded the role of NCC in nation building, saying that the organization has played exemplary role at times of emergencies and natural disasters and saved many precious lives. The organization is always at the forefront in difficult times to help the needy.
Adding to it he said that NCC is the right forum to learn patriotism and service to the nation and more and more youth should joint the Cadet. He said that younger generation is adopting the path of drug addiction and other social evils in the society; it is the need of the hour to guide them properly so that their energy is channelized in positive way.
The Minister said that efforts should be redoubled at the schools and colleges level to encourage the youth to participate in the NCC activities in a massive way by highlighting the role of the organization. He impressed upon the authorities to bring more and more cadets from the rural areas to join in NCC so that maximum population in rural areas could take part in National Integration Camp. Besides, keeping fit and healthy, the NCC also inculcates the sense of responsibility and discipline among the youths to serve the nation selflessly, he maintained.
Brig. T. Geroge also spoke on the occasion and said that aim of organizing such camps is to spread the message of unity and integrity of the country and encourage the youth to join NCC in a big way. The participants from different parts of the country carry the message of peace and national integration, which strengthens the bonds of oneness and love “Hum Sab Bhartiya Hain.”
