Over 100 sikh devotees to leave for Pak today | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 18 : Over 100 Sikh devotees from the state of Jammu and Kashmir would leave for Shri Nanakana Sahib in Pakistan to pay obeisance on the occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birth anniversary. A group of 116 devotees, whose visa has been cleared, would leave from Guru Singh Sabha, Nanak Nagar here this evening for Amritsar from where they would proceed further, sources told here. Sources said a group of devotees from J and K would be led by the Jammu and Kashmir Gurudwara Prabandhak Board's member Saran Singh. ''Total 116 visas have been cleared while eight of them on whose visa 'undivided India' was mentioned in place of birth option, were not granted permission to visit Pakistan,'' sources told. They said devotees would join other fellowmen from Punjab tomorrow and reach Attari station to leave for Shri Nanakana Sahib to participate in a grand function to be organized on November 21. ''Besides paying obeisance at Nanakana Sahib, the Sikh devotees will also visit Shri Panja Sahib, Gurudwara Dera Sahib and other religious places during their week-long stay in Pakistan,'' sources added.
