Four held for robbing man at rly stn | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 18: Four persons have been arrested by police for robbing a man of his belongings at the railway station here. The victim was looted after he made unconscious by the accused by Offering him an intoxicant-mixed cold drink, police sources said. The accused were identified as Suresh Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Vinod Kumar and Ranjay Kumar, all residents of Bihar.SSP (railways) Vijay Kumar said the accused were arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim with Delhi Police that he had been robbed off his belongings at the Jammu railway station. The accused had made Sushil Parkash Gupta, son of Ram Prakash Gupta of Delhi, unconscious by offering him an intoxicant-mixed cold drink in the compartment of a Delhi-bound train. Sushil, who remained unconscious for three days, had regained senses in a Delhi hospital after treatment. After taking Sushil's statement, the Delhi police had brought the matter to the notice of Jammu railway police. Taking a serious note of the Delhi police complaint, railway police, under the supervision of DSP Dudhyant Sharma, conducted series of raids at different places around railway station and apprehended all the accused. Of the looted property, police recovered from them a cash of Rs 36,500, a mobile set, a bag and some other things.
