Panch involved in selling forest land illegally arrested

Police has registered a case against a local panch and a property dealer for encroaching upon forest land in Bhatindi area.
According to source police on a tip-off raided the area and stopped the illegal construction on the forest lands. On the direction of SSP, Jammu, Mukesh Singh to S.I, Bhatindi police chowki Shanti Devi.
The S.I during interrogation of the panch found that about 200 Canal of land was sold to a.Choudhary property dealer panch Fateh Khan illegally worth Rs. 1.50 crore who was going to construct a housing colony on the land. During interrogation panch confessed that he, had sold out the land illegally to Choudhary police making all out efforts to arrest the property dealer who is absconding. A case u/s 447-A, 227 RPC under FIR No.123/2006 has been registered.
Refugees United Front organize prote its proposed November 6 Jammu Bandh call , the Refugees United Front (RUF) today organized a rally from Bikram chowk and after passing through Ware House, Nehru Market, Green Belt Park, Auqaf Market, Apsra Road, Shastri Nagar and Nai Basti, it culminated at Satwari Chowk.
Addressing the rally the Front Chief Rajeev Chuni called upon the people to make the Jammu bandh call a success.
He said the call has been given to focus the attention of the government towards the burning problems of the West Pak and PoK refugees who have been deprived of their basic fundamental rights right from 1947. He said earlier two such protest rallies have been organized in Jammu and reminded the Government to concede the genuine demands of the agitating refugees at the earliest.
Those who participated in today’s rally included Labhu Ram Gandhi, Annan Sharma Shiv Sena (Bal Thackrey) and Udhey Chand President Dogra Pradesh Party.
A spokesman of the Front said that the Front and its supporting parties would hold a rally at Press Club tomorrow to seek people’s support for November 6 bandh call.
