| SHO suspended for dereliction of duty | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu,Nov 19: The Billawar police station SHO, Inspector Rakesh Bamba, who was last month attached to DPL, Kathua, has been placed under suspension for dereliction of duty.
The orders to this effect were issued by SSP, Kathua, Gareeb Dass today.
The SHO was alleged to have released a criminal involved in the murder of a woman in Billawar area. The woman's face was also badly crushed by the accused.
A special investigation team was formed by IGP Ashok Gupta to probe into the case after a deputation of the Billawar people had called on him.
Havaldar Jasbir Singh and constable Kamal were also attached with DPL in the case. |
