| Inter-college volleyball at Udhampur from Nov 24 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 20: Organised by Government Degree College Udhampur under the banner of Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU), the annual inter-college men’s volleyball tournament shall commence from November 24 at the college premises.
It was after a gap of three years that JU has allotted any event to an affiliated college outside the Jammu city. Last time the inter-college event held in Udhampur was in 2007.
To look into the preparations by the Udhampur College, a team of JU led by Director Sports, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau today visited the venue. “The college has made satisfactorily arrangements for stay of the visiting teams and the competition. Two courts have been made ready within the college premises by the management of Degree College Udhampur,” he disclosed.
The competition shall be conducted following the new rules of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Volleyball Federation of India
