Implementation of dist plan reviewed in Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, 20 NOV: Commissioner Secretary, Animal Husbandry, B.D. Sharma, designated as Administrative Secretary by the state government for Kathua district for monitoring development activities, today convened a high level meeting here today. Additional District development commissioner, Kathua, M.S. Sheikh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rohit Khajuria, AC Dr. Vikas Gupta, ACD, SE Hydraulic, Executive engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, ERA JKPCC, DFOs, CMO, CEO and other District officers were present in the meeting. B.D. Sharma had a detailed review of the implementation of district plan, centrally sponsored schemes and major flagship programmes under implementation in the district. Reviewing the development activities exhorted upon the district officers to speed up the pace of developmental activities without compromising with the quality so that the benefits of development activities percolate to all section of the society. The district officers apprised the Administrative Secretary about the critical issues pertaining to the district. Earlier, the Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, M.S. Shiekh who is holding the charge of deputy Commissioner, Kathua apprised the meeting that the revised plan outlay for the year 2009-10 was pegged at Rs 8410.52 lacs. Speaking on the occasion, B.D. Sharma impressed upon the district officers to gear up the developmental activities and redress the grievance of the public on priority basis. He said that a lot of efforts are needed to be done by the district officers to achieve the targets. He said that we have to concentrate the presence of officers in rural and hilly areas like Lohai-Malhar, Machhaddi and Bani. He said that feed back of development activities as well as problems being faced will be submitted to the government.
