| KVK scientists organizes field day on toria crop | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, NOV 20: Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kathua organised field day on Toria Crop at village Badholi distt. Kathua on Thursday.
The programme was conducted under the overall guidance of Director of Extension Education, SKUAST-J, Dr. K.S. Rissam,.
The programme was attended by more than 80 farmers, including farm women.
Dr. Amrish Vaid, Programme coordinator KVK, Kathua extended warm welcome to the participants. Dr. Vaid gave an account of Front Line Demonstrations of Toria in Kathua district conducted during Kharif 2010. He also discussed about the impact of production and protection technology given to the farmers.
Dr. Berjesh Ajrawat, SMS (Extension Education) highlighted the importance of Field day for motivating the farmers in adoption of new technologies to increase the production and productivity of Toria.
Others who spoke on the occasion included, Dr Rajeev Bharat, SMS (Agronomy), B.R.Verma, Dy. Registrar (Cooperatives) and Dr. A. Manu Parmar SMS (Horticulture).
