| JAK RIF remembers martyrs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, 21 Nov JAK Rifles Regiment celebrated reunion where retired officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and other ranks of the regiment interacted with the present lot. First Reunion was held at Jammu in 1968.
The reunion Parade was conducted in the Hunza Parade Ground, which was reviewed by the Colonel of the Regiment and GOC-in-C, Northern Army Lt Gen BS Jaswal . In this parade, Veer Naris of the soldiers who laid down their lives in operations and battles were honoured along with winners of gallantry awards, personnel who excelled in sports and recruits who performed outstandingly in their training.
An official dinner of all veteran and serving officers at the Officers Mess was conducted. The function included the traditional band concert, playing the martial tunes which strike chords of enthusiasm and zeal in any soldier.
