| SRTC Employees Union elects new body | | |
JAMMU NOV-03- The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) Employees Union has constituted a new body, for which the election was held yesterday.
According to a hand out Abdul Manan was elected as President of the Association. He polled 258 votes while his two opponents polled 49 and 7 votes.
For the post of General Secretary Karam Chand was declared elected who defeated his nearest rival Vijay Tickoo. While Karam Chand polled 260 votes Tickoo got only 44 votes.
Jaswant Singh, Sham Lal Sharma and Anant Ram Sharma were elected unopposed as Vice President, Cashier and Organsior respectively while Lal Singh was unanimously elected as Chairman.
