EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Nov 21: Eight people were injured Sunday in a powerful grenade blast in Bejibehara town in south Kashmir, police said.
A senior police officer said separatist guerrillas tossed a powerful hand grenade in the main market in Bejibehara town, 50 km from Srinagar on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, Sunday afternoon.

'The grenade fell on the road and exploded under a passing private car injuring the four occupants and four other people,' the officer said.

The injured were brought to hospital for treatment and the condition of at least two of them is stated to be critical.
The car caught fire immediately after the explosion, the officer said.
The area was later searched by the security forces.
No guerrilla group has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion.
