| Football: Richiland blanks Young Christian 7-0 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 22: Richi Land Club registered an outright win over Young Christians beating latter 7-0 in Junior Division League Tournament, organised by Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at Mini Stadium, Parade here today.
Maintaining an upper hand right from the beginning, Richi Land scored their first goal in very first minute when Nishant Chib netted the ball beating the approaching goal-keeper. Second goal came in the eighth minute through Vishal Chib. Vishal netted his second goal in the 32nd minute to help his side made it a big win.
Unable to contain the attacking Richi Land side, Young Christians turned defensive resulting into former played most of the game in latter’s half.
Sartaj Singh also scored two goals for Richi Land Club striking in the 30th and 35th minutes. Other two goals came through Jagdeep Singh (10th) and Chandan Singh (38th).
In another match of the day, Young Christians-A defeated Mussa Club-B by a solitary goal. The only goal of the match was scored by Aparajit in the 59th minute.
Another scheduled match of the day ended in walkover. Khour Club awarded walkover after Manjit Memorial Club failed to report the venue.
Today’s matches were officiated by Anush Gill, Harneet Singh, Master Saleem, Viney Mooman, sanjay Kumar, Manmeet and Happy.
