| DGP visits SKPA, inaugurates conference hall | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU Nov 22: Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda today visited Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur along with other senior officers. The DGP on his visit was presented an impressive guard of honour at the quarterguard. Later, he inaugurated newly renovated conference hall for vertical interaction course and other senior level courses. The current Vertical Interaction course which started today will conclude on November 27 during which presentations and deliberations on the subject will be carried out by experienced serving and retired, Police/PMF/Army, civilian and media personalities. The course is being attended by the officers ranking from SP to DGP level from various states and Union territories. The DGP also chaired Academic Council Meeting of the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur, wherin senior police officers participated. This meeting was due for the past some years and was aimed at taking stock of training activities and infrastructure / needs of the Academy. Needless to mention that training occupies high priority especially in the context of current security scenario of the State. The DGP also inaugurated two newly constructed blocks for Upper subordinates. A largest ever PSIs batch numbering 521 is likely to start its basic training around next month . DGP expressed his happiness over the self-help activities carried out by the Director Sher-i_Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur, Dilbag Singh along with team of officers on staff, with the involvement of trainees, which has given a new look to the overall environment in the Academy.
