JAMMU, Nov: 22 (JNF):- Twenty candidates filed their nomination papers for various posts of the Bar Association Jammu. Today was the last date of filing nomination papers. The elections are scheduled to be held on December on December 18, 2010.
Advocate Raj Wazir, Advocate BS Salathia and Advocate AK Sawhney all forrmer presidents are seeking election for the post of president.. For the post of Vice President Advocate Ashok Kumar Beotra, Advocate Rupinder Singh, Advocate MU Salaria and Advocate Anil Sethi (former AAG) have filed their papers. Advocate Vishal Sharma, Advocate Vikram Sharma, Advocate Parminder Singh and Advocate Rajinder Singh Jamwal are in the fray for the post of General Secretary.
For the post of joint Secretary Advocate Arun Vikas Thakur, Advocate Arun Tandon, Advocate Parimoksh Seth, Advocate Narinder Sharma, Advocate Deivyaishan, Advocate Kuldeep Raj, Advocate Shafiq-ur-Rehman Bhat. Advocate Sumit Singh and Advocate Anuj Malhotra filed their nomination for the post of treasurer. According to General Secretary BAJ Mr. Rajesh Thappa, the date of withdrawl is November 25, 2010, scrutiny of nominations papers on November 29, 2010, election December 18, 2010.
