| Sudershan Kumar elected senior vice president ISSAR | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 22: SudershanKumar, Associate Professor-cum-Senior Scientist, Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-J, R.S. Pura Jammu, was unanimously elected as Senior Vice-President of ISSAR (The Indian Society for Study of Animal Reproduction), the largest society having more than 2100 life members. The election was held through secret ballot and the results were declared during the 26th Annual Convention of ISSAR and International Symposium on “Biotechnologies for optimization of Reproductive Efficiency of Farm and Companion animals to improve Global Food Security and Human Health, held at Pantnagar (Uttrakhand) from November 10- 12. Hailing Sudershan Kumar’s decisive victory, ISSAR members described it as an evidence of the goodwill enjoyed by Sudershan Kumar across the country mainly because of his unassuming professional approach and his positive attitude towards colleagues and other members of the fraternity. Kumar is already a Chapter Secretary (J&K) of ISAAR executive body and life member of seven professional bodies. He had successfully organized National Symposium of ISAAR in 2005 at Jammu. He is now organizing 8th Annual Convention of ISACP &National Symposium on “Prevention and Management of Companion Animal Diseases vis-a-vis Human Health” from February 2nd - 4th, at Hotel Asia and Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and A.H., R.S. Pura.
