| Review meeting in Doda 37.28 % expenditure ending Oct 2010 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Nov 22: To review the physical and financial achievements made in the District by various departments during 2010-11 in the District, the Commissioner Secretary to Government Forests Department Shant Manu today convened a review meeting of the District and sectoral officers at Doda.
While giving a brief resume of the achievements made in the District the DDC Doda said that physical & financial achievements for the year 2010-11in which current year’s approved outlay is Rs 7786.46 lacs out of which Rs 6687.24 lakh is available. The expenditure upto ending October 2010 is Rs 2493.21 lakh which works out as 37.28%. Giving sector wise achievements in various sectors DDC said that DIC Doda has made an expenditure of 57 % , Sericulture 66 %, R&B 64 % , Agriculture 15 % , Horticulture 58 % , Social Conservation 53 % , Animal Husbandry 76 % , Sheep Husbandry 86 % , Fisheries 94 % , IAY 100 % , MGNREGA 20 %, Power (T&D) 91 % , Minor Irrigation 59 % , Handicrafts 60 % , Handloom 60 % , PHE 58 % , Health 42 % besides other departments also which is over all an average of 37.28 % expenditure of the outlay. He said that 18 habitations have been targeted for water supply in the District during the current financial year besides 2 villages also which would cover a population of 3657. Similarly in power sector targeted hamlets to be electrified were 51 during the year 2010-11 out of which 10 have been achieved and work on 12 are under process , besides 15 sub stations are targeted for upgradation out of which 9 have been upgraded and 4 under progress. In education sector also under opening / upgradation of schools 10 primary schools have been opened against a target of 10 while as 37 Middle Schools have been opened/ upgraded against a target of 73 besides 15 High schools are under construction which were targeted during the year 2010-11. Besides this various other departments were also reviewed and necessary instructions were given on the occasion by the Commissioner Secretary.
Various Flagship schemes were also reviewed on the occasion including in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. (MGREGA) in which allocation during the year 2010-2011 is Rs 5966.00 lacs and an expenditure of Rs. 2431.021 lacs has been made Ending Oct. 2010.
Similarly under Indra Awas Youjana (IAY) Allocation during the year 2010-2011 is Rs. 165.326 lakhs an expenditure of Rs. 73.76 lacs ending Oct. 2010 other flagship programmes were also reviewed including PMGSY , NRHM , PWD (CRF) , UDISSMT , ICDS (Nutrition) , Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) , RGGVY , SSA , NRDWP besides other schemes were also reviewed on the occasion by the Commissioner.
Shant Manu impressed upon the officers to work in a coordinated and convergent manner for the effective and viable implementation of various schemes in the District besides monitoring of the schemes for their time bound completion and benefits to the common man.
Various demands were also apprised to the commissioner on the occasion which include Land Compensation amounting to Rs.1531.50 lacs is required for clearance of awarded /likely to be awarded road Schemes. Additional funds to the tune of Rs 137.22 lakh is required for clearance of work-done liabilities of past years under various sectors. An amount of Rs.100.00 lakh is required for up-gradation of roads which were demolished by way of widening and encroachment.
Deputy Commissioner Doda R.S Mehta, ADC Doda A.R Natnoo , Chief Planning Officer Doda Yassir Balwan , ACD Doda R.A Chowdary besides other District and sectoral officers were also present in the meeting.
