| Delay in establishment of CU rued | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 22: Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) today again blamed state and central government for deliberately delaying the establishment of central University in Jammu and has warned to start agitation. JJSF activists organised a protest demonstration in JU and raised slogans against the government. Protesters alleged that under a conspiracy, Central University in Jammu is being sabotaged by some vested interests. Speaking on the occasion, JU president of federation, Varinder Singh said that if the CU is not immediately established in Jammu, they will be forced to start another agitation in next few weeks. He also lashed out at the state government for its silence against the protest calendar issued by the separatists in Kashmir valley. “Why is the central government tolerating the anti-national activities of the separatists in Kashmir valley”, he said. Meanwhile students of JU (Distance Education) held a protest demonstration in the front of office of Controller Examination under the banner of JJSF for the postponement of examination of M.A. Hindi Ist Semester which are starting from November, 29. The protest was lead by Veenakshi Sharma, a federation leader. After that protesting students went to the Controller Examination. The concerned authorities said that this is matter belong to Distance Education and you should contact them. The protesters alleged that University authorities are playing with the career of the students.
