| Bone Mineral Density (BMD) camp organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 23:A Bone Mass Density (BMD) camp was organized by the Orthopaedics Department Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu in collaboration with Ranbaxy Crosslands.
It was a free camp where about 100 patients were screened by BMD Machine and further advised by Sr Orthopedicians Dr Sham Jurgyal of Sarwal Hospital Jammu. Dr Arun Sharma Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu along with other senior Doctors and other paramedical staff were present to initiate the BMD Camp. Dr Arun Sharma Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu said that it would be a routine camp every month and the patients and public should take benefit of it to maximum. Ranbaxy Crosslands was represented by Yuvraj Nanda Field Sales Officer and Ajay Koul District Manager.
The computerized machine has been brought from Delhi and by placing the foot on the machine whole body scan is done and a computerized report is generated.
Meanwhile, a free camp would be organized for Impedence Audiometry at Government Hospital Sarwal tomorrow between 10 am to 2 pm in coordination with CIPLA Ltd.
ENT Specialist Dr Rajeev Sharma would be available for further specialized advice.
The test is done free of cost for problems related to “Hearing”. The machine would be brought from Delhi. A private test of the same nature costs Rs 500 – 800 and is not available in Government sector in Jammu.
This test would also be done on routine basis in Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu every month probably on 24th of every month.
