| Humming Buds organises Sports Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 23:“Sound Physique is the great chamber of soul, the sick its prison”. Believing upon this saying and to keep the interest of the students in physical activities alive, Humming Buds the pre school of Model Academy organized its Annual Sports Day today at its BC Road campus.
Different races like Treasure hunt, Fill the basket, Dress me up, Birthday Race, 3- Legged Race and Building Pyramid were conducted. Dumbbells drill was also presented by the tiny tots.
Although the tiny tots were too small to cover the distance in the field and too weak to push the opponents with their might but, their unrefined neuromuscular coordination & shaky movements were good enough to make everyone enjoy their movements. They created moments of laughter and provided cheerful experiences for all. Their parents who had turned out in large numbers for the event boosted their enthusiasm.
Joint Director MIER, Dr Adit Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. He declared the sports meet open. In his address he lauded the efforts of the team managing Humming Buds for organizing the sports event and for instilling the sportsmanship and spirit of competitiveness in the young Buds. He also thanked the parents for their unending support in making Humming buds a grand success.
Earlier, Rupa Gupta Principal R R School extended a warm welcome to the chief guest and the parents of the participants. She presented a brief report on the progress of Humming Buds since its inception in 2005. Principal Model Academy, Puneet Basur, Vice Principal Model Academy Usha Gadoo also presided over the function. Special events were organized for the parents as well in, which they participated. Gold, Silver & bronze medals were distributed among the winners. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Gayatri Kotwal Incharge Primary wing.
