Coalition committing blunder through rehabilitation: BJP | | | EARLY TIMES Jammu, Nov 23: BJP state spokesperson Nirmal Kamal has termed that Cabinet nod to rehabilitation\ surrender policy as another blunder by the Coalition Govt. In a press statement issued here today, Kamal said, “It must be recalled that on 8th November this year Omar Abdullah had announced about rehabilitating couple of thousands of misguided youth, now militants, waiting very eagerly across the border to enter this side of Line of Control and also that such youth who had availed armed training in Pakistan have been trying to infiltrate illegally to this side through the borders of Nepal, Wagah, Attari, Salamabad, Chakan-da-Bagh crossings also and therefore Omar Abdullah found it necessary to legalize their entry by approving rehabilitation policy”. Nirmal Kamal said, “Since from the past two years the security agencies have very categorically revealed that there are 500 militants still operating in the state”. In this circumstance, this rehabilitation policy will increase militancy related incidents despite the various safe-guards attached to the rehabilitation policy, she added. She further said, “Permitting those who crossed border to avail militant's training in 1989 to come back in 2010 (when their families have also grown) legally and rehabilitating them tantamount to nothing but supporting militancy in the state at the government expenditure and deviating attention of public from administrative failures under NC-Congress coalition regime”. Moreover, the three ministers from the Congress abstained the cabinet meeting which took place yesterday. In fact these three Congress Ministers are more accountable for approving this decision as neutrality often leads to help wrong decisions. In this case abstaining the cabinet meeting has helped in approving the decision. ‘The congress leaders owe an explanation to the public’, asserted Dr Nirmal Kamal.
