Young Sports, Hero Club win in football | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 23: Young Sports defeated Khore Club by a solitary goal to consolidate their position in the ongoing Junior Division League Football Tournament, organised by Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at Mini Stadium, Parade here today. Ankush scored the all important goal in 15th minute of the match to help his side win the game. The second match of the day won by Hero Club outplaying Moon Light Club by three goals to nil. Avinash Gupta scored the first goal in the 5th minute, followed by second coming through penalty kick awarded in the 40th minute. The deliberate handball inside the striking area led to centre referee awarding penalty and Rohit did no mistake in netting the ball for second goal of the team. Rohit scored another goal in the 60th minute to make it a big 3-0 win for Hero Club. Another match of the day between Jammu Sports and Bhagat Singh Club remained inconclusive over some dispute between the two teams. The dispute took place two minutes short of given time of 70 minutes resulting into Jammu Sports left the ground in protest. When the match stopped both teams had scored a goal each. Jammu Sports took the first lead with Sanju netting the ball in 11th minute. Bhagat Singh Club could equalize only in 65th minute through Ravneet Singh. “A decision on the disputed game shall be taken tomorrow in a meeting of the technical committee of the Association,” member of the organizing committee, Fiestus Sotra told SAN. Meanwhile, according to the organizers, Young Churchill-A has become first team to qualify for the next round of super league from pool-C.
