| CCI concerned over formation of panel | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Nov 23: Expressing concern over the formation of a three member committee to check the genuineness of rates and to keep check on profiteering and inspection of various kinds, . the office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry under the chairmanship of its president Y.V. Sharma said that appointment of special committee puts a doubt on various departments and creates harassment and sense of worry among the traders.
The Chamber felt that such draconian actions were not required when the various departments were already functioning properly.
The Chamber, therefore, requested the Development Commissioner (DC) Jammu to have faith on the functioning of various departments and not to resort to such actions which will multiply the Inspector Raj and will create a sense of panic among the trading community. The present action shows that the administration has lost faith in the existing system.
