Gandhi Nagar hospital to be equipped with modern facilities soon: Bhalla

JAMMU, NOV 23- To ease rush in premiere hospital of Jammu,
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has
said that Government Gandhi Nagar hospital would be equipped with
latest infrastructural facilities.
The minister said that Government has provided CT scan, critical care van, blood bank, sick new worn care unit, laproscopy, ortho surgery, gynae, skin, computerized radiography, EPABX to connect all sections besides other latest technique
facilities to the people.
The Minister said this while chairing the meeting of governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at Government Gandhi Hospital, here this afternoon.
Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr. Madhu
Khullar, executive engineers of PHE, R&B, PDD, ERA besides medical and
para-medics were present in the meeting.
Bhalla said that Government has earmarked Rs 15 lakh for construction of blood bank building in the hospital. He directed the R&B authorities to complete the ongoing work within 10 days for the benefit of general masses. He asked the medical and para-medics to remain punctual in the hospital so that the patients do not face any inconvenience.
For improving the power scenario in the hospital, he asked the PDD authorities to upgrade the existing receiving station upto 600 KV for the smooth functioning of equipments.
Regarding construction of Over Head Tank, he asked the PHE authorities to prepare detailed project report and submit the same for funding so that the work could be
started on the available space for regular availability of potable water. He asked the hospital authorities to submit a project report for purchasing four number ECG machines, refrigerators for blood bank, besides two digital, one portable and two normal X-ray machines for better heathcare of the patients so that the matter could be take with
Health Ministry for funding.
Later, Bhalla also visited Sanjay Nagar and inspected the ongoing construction work of 33/11 KV receiving station, for which Government has earmarked Rs.3.29 crore. He asked the executing agency to complete it by March 2011 for the benefit of Shastri Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Digiana, Babliana, Gangyal and its adjoining areas people.
Interacting with the locals, he said that Government has also sanctioned Rs. 4 crore for construction of parking slot near Shastri Nagar cremation ground on available 100 meter x 15 meter land. He said that on the construction of parking slot, the people of Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Sanjay Nagar would be facilitated.
Later, the Minister also released a CD of Baba Sain Dev ji bhajans at a function held at Shri Sain Baba Ji temple at Talab Tillo, Jammu.
