| SOS Hermann Gmeiner School celebrate Annual Day. | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Nov 23 SOS HGS, Jammu today celebrated Annual Day celebration in the school premises.
MLC & Ex-Chief Secretary (J&K Govt) Vijay Bakaya was the Chief Guest while Behari Kak Athwass President of Association of Displaced Producers, Directors, Writers, Artists and Technicians of J&K was the Guest of Honour besides large number of parents on the occasion.
The program began with the traditional lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest,
Students on the occasion presented various cultural items like Saraswati Vandana, Group songs, Qawali,skits etc. Kashmiri dogri & Ladhaki group songs &dance highlighted the unique identity of J&K.
Speaking on the occasion Bakaya emphasized on the students to work hard & with dedication to achieve their goal as they the future of the country.
Earlier Principal R.K. Dhar Presented annual report of the school highlighting the achievements of school in Academics and co-curricular activities.
The Chief guest gave away the prizes to students excelled in academics and those
who brought laurels to school in sports , Arts and Cultural event. He praised
the school management for a such great function. Kritika Sethi was awarded for
participation in international level JENESYS Japan. Tawi House was awarded for
best house for the year 2009-10.
The Principal presented mementoes to Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. The vote
of thanks was presented by. Ashok Raina and the program culminated the
singing of National Anthem.
