Kranti Dal castigates PDD, PWD for their negligence | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 23: Kranti Dal organized a meeting to discuss the problems faced by the residents of Sharika Vihar and Lower Roop Nagar due to negligence of the concerned departments including PDD, PWD and ERA. The meeting presided by Raj Roop Singh (State President) and Pritam Sharma (State General Secretary). Other leaders of the Dal including Rajinder Bhagat (City Senior Vice President), Jagdish Sudan (City General Secy) discussed the problems faced by the residents of Sharika Vihar, Lower Roop Nagar due to negligence of the concerned departments. Pritam Sharma criticized the PWD towards the slow process being carried to maintain the Lower Roop Nagar road which is in very bad condition for the last one year. He said that the condition of the road is worsening as the road leading from Muthi Morh to Director Education office is in very bad shape and it has become a menace for the drivers of the vehicles to ply their vehicles there. There is always a possibility of some incident and a lot of people were injured in the past due to bad condition of the road. He further said that the PDD department is also doing discrimination with the area. Electric poles were installed four years back but the department failed to install electric wires over them which shows the lackluster attitude of the department towards the people of the area. He said that the Kranti Dal presented a memorandum to the Chief Engineer nearly four months back but till date no action has been taken. Rajinder Bhagat and Jagdish Sudan said that ERA has constructed a nallah in the Sharika Vihar area but failed to do the work properly. The nallah is filled with waste material by the company resulting in choking of the nallah and spreading of foul smell in the area. Kranti Dal warned the PDD, PWD & ERA to execute their work properly and honestly within 15 days, failing which Kranti Dal will organize a protest and will come to streets with the local people of the affected areas who are suffering from the misdeeds of the concerned departments.
