| Man murdered by nephew at Bajalta | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 23: Over a land dispute, a 76-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his nephew at Bajalta in Udhampur Monday.
Police sources said there was a land dispute between Jallu Ram (76), son of Chetu Ram, of Bajalta with his nephew Shonku Ram.
Last evening, they had heated exchanges over the issue following which Shonku attacked his uncle with a sharp-edged weapon, causing him serious injuries, the sources added.
He was admitted to local hospital. However, following deterioration in his condition, he was referred to the GMC hospital where he died today. He had sustained deep stab wounds in the neck.
After post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites.
Shonku was arrested and the weapon of offence recovered from him. A murder case was registered against him.
